MAT update

Sometimes it seems the layout is progressing slowly but that is part of the enjoyment. Tayside is coming together.
In this picture is the lighthouse at the old fishing harbour with a freight train in the background. The lighthouse is scratchbuild based on a prototype in Nova Scotia.

The next picture of the trackplan shows how much track I have completed. It is shown with the yellow highlighter.
Lots still to do.

Nice job on that lighthouse! How did you build the top portion? Is it plastic, wood or what?

Hi Robin, and a Happy New Year friend, like the look of the lighthouse and area around it, what lighting is in the LH, flashing or strobe.

Rory, the lighthouse is all wood other than the glassed in area for the light . I used a piece of hard plastic tube for the window.
Shamus, the light came from Micro-Mark and was a Christmas gift. The light ramps up to bright, then ramps down again much like a real lighthouse does when the light turns.
Now all I have to add is a foghorn!!!

That's a great looking structure Robin!
I like the look of the whole scene, with keepers' quarters, etc...
