Making your own animated giffs

I have seen for some time the use of animated giffs using a drawing program, and thought about making my own on camera, here's the results . 9 frames were taken at different rotations of the wheels keeping the loco still in one place.

this one took 18 frames to make it move over the trestle.

Now imagine them in sepia tones with a few 'scratches.' Instant homemade old time movies. Neat idea, yes... no... You the man that could do it Shamus.

The top photo is a Camelback I just bought "Mantua" sorry about the size, but to make them bigger would take up far too much memory.
