Guys in San Antonio, way back in late 70's, had RC ships made of balsa and styrene, with 22 short for the main guns...

Truly Excellent work on this,

Already tired to dry fit it to turret and it sits well. Also inserts exactly into hull opening

Fun fact: wavy camouflage on the barrel was introduced later in Sherman Firefly to confuse enemy tanks and a/t guns, that it is standard Sherman.
This was because Germans first were searching for intimidating Fireflies,
with long barrel, to destroy
Yep, that's the German way - always obeying the todo list like a computer program:

010 Look for Sherman tanks
020 If camouflage = wavy then destroy
030 If camouflage = not wavy then smoke a cigarette
040 Goto 010

Hmmm I remember an off color joke about German soldiers, and the punch line is "Drei, fünf... Drei, fünf. Drei fünf..."

Thanks guys!

Started to fill the basket
Two long ammunition cartridges (little box on the side is for grenades), extinguisher, mg ammunition box and near it lever, that i didn't find what it for. Also there is box under gunner seat. It is has two foot switches: right for firing 17 pounder and left for firing 0.30 mg

By the way, that handle i didn't know what it for, it is turret traversing lock. Thanks to member on neighbour forum for the info.
Also, i did it too long, so shortened it like it should. Probably the length of handle road was right, just needed to make a hole in a box and insert it in. Pay attention

Elevating mechanism with supporting rack

There are several thing to pay attention on:
Manuel handle must be glued about 30 degrees to forward axel
Rack mounting hinges better be assembled on the elevating cylinder and then glued to rack
Main gun mounting point consists of base itself and plate (another point to designer) Base better be glued to the gun and plate to elevating mechanism. This way it will be easier to connect both later.
