This is the 1:400 Redraw of the Clever Santoro Bird of Prey.

I have a card copy of the 1:400 and a paper copy of the original and its instructions. I'll try and match the new parts to thier old part reference so I can use the instructions as a bit of a guide!

I've started with the bottom of Page 2 and odd shape from Page 5.

They match to part A1 from the original scale instructions.

Great start!

When I look at the finished head piece I can see that the curves may benefit from more edges. This is in no way caused by your build skills but a result of the 3D model used for unfolding. I once smoothed out a nice BB-8 model which was very edgy. It is tedious but it can be done.

I'm looking forward to seeing your progress.

Found an issue with the part at the bottom pf P4.

If you see in the picture attached, the highlighted green bits should have "green BOP" paint on them as they are visible. The original model has this but not the redraw.

I'll reprint a could of the other pages on paper and stick it over!

No idea how far back the bridge dome should be on top of the lower lip.

I'll build the red wrap round part (in background instructions part A2) and use it as a guide.
