Good Afternoon, Martin, and all:
I am looking for more than bits and bytes
of marketing information by the product
manufacturers. For instance, I started out
this morning with a curiosity question: Some
cars roll well, with little friction; some cars
don't roll well at all.
What lubricant? How applied? How often?
...etc.
Following leads to this inquiry on Google,
I discovered Zealot. So far, so good.

Brazos Valley Railway
...through the Heart of Texas
This is what I call my first model train
layout since I first became interested in
the hobby about 60 years ago. <grins>
The Brazos Valley is a shelf railway in my
storage shed. Imagination caught the
possibilities when I saw that I had a 38-foot
length of shelving on the 3-foot above the
floor level. Bingo!!! Now, I have trains running
on a loop that is 2-scale miles long. Not bad.
Added a set of tracks for sidings, and will build
a 3-track yard next.
Experimented with some scenery, printed
pictures of the Texas plains and hills to use
as backdrop, and a lot of other things.
Track laid is mostly N-scale Kato UniTrack with
some Atlas Flextrack in the yard.
I like the 1920 to 1949 era for prototye
equipment, and have two steam locomotives
and four diesel locos. Hope to add two more
steam locomotives.
I don't honor fast clocks, but try to run the trains
at scale speeds. Look good, and run well.
More, later. This is my first, introductory, shot at
posting to the whole Zealot group. Will see what
happens next.
