Just curious, what camera are you using

Shamus,
Excellent tips! I haven't used my 750UZ indoors much and now I'll have a clue! I am printing out your suggestions to keep in my camera bag.

Here is one I grabbed this morning. I didn't have time to set the camera, so I went to the sports mode and got this one...

Shamus, I am in awe at your beautiful layout! You must be very proud.

I took out a display track the other day to take a photo or two and see what my stuff looks like close up. Here is the end of a ATSF combine (built many moons ago by Jim Drennan) and an old Globe box car. I see my ballasting techniques need refining too!

I am...

...afeared that we ain't done with "this" yet.

Here's a shot of an Atlas N Trainmaster. When I look at it on screen it appears to be G(ee!)

This is the link to the expanded image- the one below is what the Gauge let me put up.

Very nicely composed photograph Fifer. The Nikon Cool Pix 3100, is an excellent camera for Layout photography.

There are a number of very nice camera's and photographs in this thread, would be interested to learn just who still uses a 35mm SLR.

My wife gave me a Canon S400 for Christmas so here's a photo of mogul 428 coming down the High Line Grade:

Slightly "enhance" by the photo software.:)

I finally have joined the ranks of digital camera owners. Just the other day I purchased a Canon A60. 2.0 Mega Pixels so nothing extravagant like everyone elses but I love it, it is so much fun.

Well Freelancer, its a good camera, mine is only 2.1 megs. It all depends on the Lens.

Cheers

The option for additional lenses was a big selling point for me. Not that I know how or when to use a different lens, but the fact that I could add them on later sold me. What kind of lens are you using shamus?

My brother, father and I share a Kodak unit right now, a few years old. I'm pondering the Fujifilm A210 so my wife and I have a digital camera full-time. I know it's not the top of the line, but looks to be pretty good for the price ($265CDN).

Hi,
My camera hasn't got the inter-changable lens option, the camera just happens to have a great lens for photography. Typical of Olympus I would expect, always did use a good lens.

Hi Jim,
I set my Olympus C700UZ camera to f8 and a shutter speed of 1/2 second with the lighting I have. This gives me a good depth of field.
