From the 1955 catalog set #416 The Prospector. The only Santa Fe set released by Hobbyline. A H12-44 ATSF diesel powers the set. One Flat Car, one box car, and a HObbyline Caboose. I am still trying to get an original ATSF H12-44. I detailed a spare black Hobbyline version till I and get one. 416 1955 The Prospector ATSF.JPG

Next 1955 set is #430 The train Maker which is identical to the 1954 Train Maker set. A PRR steam set using a PRR A5 0-4-0 switcher locomotive, a heavyweight Combine, and two Coaches.

Only 4 more sets from the 1955 catalog to be done. Only two of them are shown in the 1955 catalog. One set 467 the PRR Frontiersman is only described. and the other set 462 the B&O Royal Blue is an unlisted set.
So here is set #456. The PRR Trail Blazer.

Thank you! A lot of years and traveling to different train shows. Find something here, then there. Then the people you meet. You collect them too tho you know it or not. You don't know their names, but you remember the faces, the words said. They make the faraway places you visit, friendly and no longer strange. I am a collector all right, but of much more than trains.
