I'm a 63 yr old railroad addict that started life as a railroad brat and never grew up. I started with tin type in O scale, went to G scale and then started working my way down in size. Currently I'm in N scale but already have some Z scale stuff sitting on the shelf.
My current layout is a small 2x4 with 2 area's, a mining area and an ore processing area. I have used the Boyd Logging camp as my miners camp and a modified version of the Idaho Springs Mine as my mine head. Differences planned are an mining engine pulling hoppers out of the mine and dumping them in the mine head where ore cars are loaded for the trip to the processing plant.
