Yes, I have. I hard wired the wheel wipers to the motor to eliminate the problem.

Attached are some photos of the rewired truck.
The 3rd photo is the stock truck.
The 4rth shows the modified wiper with the wire. Wire from an old mouse works great.
Some filing of the wiper insulators was required to clear the solder and wire.
I wired them directly to the replacement motor, but you can solder the wires to the PC board under the motor.
