Great work so far! (And I say "so far" because I assume, by the missing starboard hatch, that you're going to put an interior in it....)
Delta 7 Studios' "Project Gemini" CD contains some very nice models. And they provide a good platform for super-detailing if you want to go that route.

Have you printed on gloss cardstock or spray coated to get that finish??:mrgreen:

I´m not sure if there is something to improve :-D
It was gloss cardstock , but it wasn´t as good as I though.This is another model and there is some progress on it ... the interior is not completed yet , but you can imagine how it is going to look

i'm thinking of purchasing some "Delta stuff" . the new apollo series is looking be nice. wonder how long before its available
All of the Mercury and the Gemini cd's are excellent, the research he put into the individual missions is second to none. I have the retro-rocket cd, but I haven't built anything off of it yet. I also bought the "three little spaceships" that he did for micro-models, but I haven't dared start that one yet.
Highly recommend.
As far as the Apollo series; Dan said he is still working on it, but no release date is set.

Are the alternating white / slightly grey panels on the rear sections actually 3D or is the effect printed? Either way, it looks really good.

to Saustin16 : the panels are 3D - as you said.. I printed this part again (different paper) and every second panel is (I don´t know the word - I believe you understand me :mrgreen::mrgreen: )

Having built over 25 of Dan's models I can truly say they are a pleasure to build. He is also a tru gentleman as well I might add.
I see you made some modifications, using real foil for the rear. Personally, I think Dan did a superb job of obtaining a very realistic reflective Mylar. I asked him how he did it and it is quite creative. By achieving a realistic look in "Paper" for such a difficult materail is amazing. I don't know anyone who has produced this level of realism in paper. Gold and silver are very hard if not impossible to produce in paper. Dan't are as close as I have seen.

Now for the next challenge. How bout doing the two door version. By reversing the print on your printer for the door parts you can have both doors open. I always thought it a waste to build the other chair and not be able to see it thru the door. I prefer the two doors so you can see all of the cokpit. Go for it.

I left out one very important detail to achieve the finest reults. You must print the reflective parts on glossy photo paper. The results are stunning. Personally I print the whole thing on Photo paper. Then you really get the detail Dan intended.

I havereplaced many "rears" as you put it. It is very easy. Especially since the outer ring covers the seam. Go for it. just make sure you cut it out on the cone side of the service module thus protecting the outer edge which shows.
Please forgive me for bringing this up so much later in the game, but where-oh-where did you find that gold material for the aft end?
Hello Lancer - the material is from the tape that young people gets for their graduation (for example - somethin like an american hat with the square on the top :mrgreen: ) you can get it maybe in some store with paper or with some "parties" stuff :thumb:
