Started the 1913 Ford T Van from tkpapercraft last night. This one has White tires. I though this was wrong, so I did a recolor of the 2 pages that had the tires. I did some research, and about half of the T type Vans had white tires. So I think I will build it with the white ones.

It looks like you are off to a great start! As usual to your talents, everything looks very clean, clear and crisp!
I am looking forward to seeing how this turns out!

That's a big model. A lot of vehicles back then did use white tires. They really look strange in Black and White pictures, but you do see them on many old time trucks. Great Start!! :)

the tires that come with this model looks gray.... like a black tire with dried on gumbo mud.

Funny thing is that you can get original white tires still for Ford Model T based vehicles, from Coker Tires. When I was a kid, I remember seeing old model T's with white tires with some miles on them. They had a translucent look to the rubber, as if the white was suspended in the rubber, and the treads were always dark around the part that hit the road. You couldn't go wrong making black tires as they were used too. ;)

Next update: got the engine and wheels complete. I went with white tires on the standard rims. The designer had solid rims on this ford..... I could not find any photos with solid rims. That may be something that was only offered on export units. The tread on the tires with the kit were just straight lines. I used the tread pattern from the Bentley and removed the color from it. This looks MUCH better.

I posted the wheels came out excellent, but I must have forgot to press "Post'. Well, they did, and the rest of the car looks so perfect, it looks like it's simple to do, but it's that craftsmanship that gives the illusion of simplicity. :)
