Is there a model of this available anywhere? I've seen some pics in Photobucket of someone's build, but I can't tell if he found it somewhere or just modeled it himself. It looks like he's done/is doing a lot of modeling, so it might be a test run of one of his pieces.
 
I found the photobucket album, too. It looks like the blaster was made by a man called Steve Rose aka drmeacham. Unfortunately there is no link to the final product yet.
 
Just saw Forbidden Planet on TCM this weekend, one of my favorites. If someone can model Robby in paper, a "simple blaster" should be ...well ...simple. :)
