hello---the canadian national had a couple of PA1's as demonstrators and although they decided not to keep them,i asked doctor wayne to create one for me in the classic cn passenger scheme---i think this locomotive would have looked good on any of the cn's passenger trains

Canada, eh?
Thanks, Russ. The loco is from Proto2000, and as best as I can recall, has not been modified. The paint is SMP Accu-paint, and the decals are Accu-cals. The decals furnished were for the "demonstrator" paint scheme, which was very similar to the passenger scheme at the time of delivery, consisting of green and gold.. As Mister Nutbar models the late '50s, we decided to go with the passenger scheme introduced in 1958, long after the demonstrators had been returned to Alco, which included the black band along the bottom of the sides. I used the front part of the lower band that was intended for an FPA-4, modifying it to suit the longer nose of the PA. The decals meant for the PA demonstrator scheme ended up, in part, on my kitbashed FPA-4.

Beautiful locomotives. The FA’s and PA’s have always been my favourite ALCO first generation engines. Great modelling and pictures. Nicely done:thumb: :thumb:

Thanks for sharing
