Fleischmann Inverted Points

I keep hearing about the recommendation of mounting Fleischmann point motors inverted but cannot for the life of me find any info on this. Has anyone come across this info and can shed some light on the subject.

I envision it requiring some modification of the control lever on the track section as it has a little section that faces the wrong direction when the motor is inverted. Before I go hacking my points to pieces though, I would prefer to find some solid info on it.

This is rather easy to do. just take the motor apart from the turnout. Slowly get the lever out aswell and insert it upside down. Then get the motor and put it inverted.
