S SR39 New Member Jan 14, 2007 37 0 6 85 Upstate, SC Nov 16, 2010 #1 Does anyone know if the frame of a Kato N scale E8 has to be machined to accept the Digitrax SDN 144KOa sound decoder. I have heard the the frame has to be machined to make room for the speaker. Any help would be appreciated. Jim
