This looks like just as good a place to bring this up as any.
I was reading the Jan. MRR mag and love the I think its the black river that they are building in HO scale but what I am wondering is how does the bench wortk table break down in N scale is it 50% smaller?
Its built on a 4x8 so would it be built on 2x4 in N scale?

Thanks Shay.
I am thinking that I might be adding that on to the end of the layout I am building now I really like the layout with the switching and whatnot

I don't know what era you operate or what sized equipment, but 4 x 8 in ho is usually restricted to tight radius curves. If you have the space to build it slightly bigger in n scale, you can make bigger radius curves allowing long modern diesels to operate and look better on the layout.

My presently unfinished N Scale layout is 3-1/2 X 6, Its From an old Atlas Layout book, Atlas - Scenic and Relaxed N Scale (n-17), it is a "Cookie Cutter type & i added 6" to the overall Depth as the structure needed an area in the front for the power packs. The HO scale version would not be as portable by a long shot.
