Convert AHM O-4-0 to On30?

I was digging through some HO loco boxes and discovered this little AHM "Shifter" 0-4-0 made by Rivarossi.

Looking at the side view, I see the start of an On30 0-4-4 Forney.
Any suggestions?

Here is my old HOn3' 2-4-4 Forney by LMB. The nose is a little longer than the AHM shifter.

I think that little fella/gal would make an excellent 0n30 loco.I also think it would be a great start for a Forney,BUT remember Forney's are a rigid frame locomotive and will require some generous curves.

I plan to use a pivot arm for the rear truck...should give a little play in the turns.

Moved the shifter into powerpoint and added some ideas.

I'll bet one with a saddle tank would look good too.
