coal mining

i wanted to put coal mine for better operation on my layout and was wondering if they had any coal mine in the milwaukee, wisconsin area.

check with the Wisconsin state historical society i would think they have a web site.

IC&E - I don't know about any coal mines there, but a friend of mine down here had several sand mines up there, (what area I don't know). Right now my brother and I are drawing up a set of electrical plans that Mr. Duncan is going to use to start another sand mine started there again. I don't think that there would be much difference thou.

ic&e the only coal mines i could locate in Wisconsin are in Benton,Shullsburg and Livingston.
what era are you modeling ?
