Several of my Neighbors were putting holiday decorations back up in Feb and March to lighten the mood with the Virus spreading. While looking through the resource section I saw the Web dudes Christmas paper toys and decided that the Wooden Soldier would be a good piece to start with. The plans called for pins and pieces of cork for the moving parts. Not wanting to run out to find cork I used toothpicks and card stock.

1st I printed the design on label paper and affixed it to some heavy cardstock.

The pins were mad by pushing a toothpick through the lower of the two parts of the assembly cuttings them of flush on the front side and gluing.

You move his leg to make him play the drum

Next was making a large enough hole in the moving part for it to move freely then capping it with a small cardstock fastener and gluing in place, careful not to make the cap to large that it could block movement and not over glued so it couldn't move. This would be a fairly good starter build for anyone looking for something simple and fun 20200722_150205.jpg20200722_150013.jpg20200722_150026.jpg
