I'd just like to know if the Canadian National F7A with zebra stripes was used in both passenger and freight operations. Or was it just used for passenger only or freight only? Basically, I'm just curious.
Technically CN used FP-9's on passenger trains. They had the zebra stripes. there isn't many diffences in a F-7 and an FP-9 the main one the FP-9 is slightly longer to accomadate the steam generator used by passenger cars. The F-7s were mainly a freight engine.
