Alright folks, Jenny asked me to make the 1/32 scale version for her Buck Rogers hangar diorama. So I got back to the model and unfolded it. It is in the first stages, the unfold is complete but it has no flaps and is completely white. I'm changing that right now. The parts are pretty straight forward to build, so this is a beginner's model. UNFORTUNATELY there is one problem...
I've been collaborating with
@Rhaven Blaack on this model quite extensively and he gently used the whip on me to make an interior for it.

A basic structure has already been developed "off-screen" (we had many hours of Skype chats to flesh out the ideas) but getting all of it ready would delay the model further and further. The reason for the delay in the first place lies in the nature of the model itself. Since the original Rover was based on the BSG Landram the interiors of both vehicles are virtually identical. So if I make an interior for the Rover I'll have to make sure that it fits in the Landram as well. And to guarantee that I'll have to follow the original design history and start with the Landram first (its interior is much better documented, too). So, first the Landram interior, then the Rover interior. But not now.
I have decided to give you the Rover without interior first. This is not as bad as it sounds because there are only two pieces which have to be changed (the bottom piece of the "cockpit tub" and the top piece of the skirt piece) to make room for the interior. Everything else (the complete outer hull) will remain unchanged. The drive unit and turret will be copied directly from the Landram kit (hey, it is the same vehicle, no need to invent the wheel twice!

).The interior will be available as an add-on kit later, similar to the interior add-on for the Thunderfighter.
Stay tuned!
