Greetings and salutations to all,

As some may know, I am seriously considering a large project that will be in 1:48/1:50 scale. That project is going to be a BSG hangar (maintenance/service) bay. So, I have start with the vehicles first. With that being said, I have decided to see the viability of building a landram in (1:50 scale). I will be greebling it out to the best of my ability. This will be included in the diorama.

Even though, you can only see the one parts sheet, I have printed everything out four times (so that I have the parts I need for the greebling).
20200612_110656.jpg

Starting with the command cabin.
20200612_164600.jpg

This is the support divider for the main view window.
20200612_214243.jpg

The frame for the main view window is assembled. I laminated the walls to 0.75mm. I also laminated the support divider to 1.0mm. Doing this eliminates the need for glue tabs. All that I have to do is edge glue the part in place.
20200612_230754.jpg

The main view window is fully assembled.
20200612_231200.jpg

This is the top light assembly.
I raised the lenses (by one layer of card) and laminated the walls to 0.75mm so that I can edge glue the part in place.

20200613_170434.jpg

This is the plate under the front of the cabin.
20200613_170642.jpg

I cut the openings for the lights, light assemblies, underplate, and side steps.
20200613_202325.jpg

I recessed the side steps that are under the main doors (by about 1.0mm).
I finished the main assembly of the command cabin.

So, here is another update.

Starting with the black under plates that are on the front. These are just one layer of cardstock (110# cardstock).
20200614_111640.jpg

The black under plates are in place.
20200614_112135.jpg

These brackets are for the steps.
20200614_112632.jpg

The brackets are in place.
20200614_113246.jpg

20200614_113310.jpg

Here are the doors. After looking at the gallery of https://byyourcommand.net/ I realized that the first time that I greebles the doors (on my first build), I made them wrong. I had raised the rivet lines nad recessed the panes. So, this time, I raised the armour panels and the door latches.. They are screen accurate to the full size stage model.
20200614_150534.jpg

The door are in place.
20200614_172632.jpg

Here is the side vent.
20200614_172653.jpg

The side vent is in place.
20200614_173114.jpg

This is the front side wedge.
20200614_175440.jpg

The front side wedge is in place.
20200614_175651.jpg

Here are the parts for the window for the door.
20200614_220715.jpg

The window assembled.
20200614_222315.jpg

The window is in place.
20200614_222726.jpg

I raised the top front panels. With the darker (top) panels, I "bubbled" it.
20200616_203328.jpg

Here is a front view to show "bubbled" effect.
20200616_203314.jpg

Here are the parts of the window of the right side rear door. Granted, these part are suppose to be "clamshelled", however, at 1:50 scale, I was having problems with the original parts. So, I just laminated the flat parts to about 1 mm.
20200616_204357.jpg

The window of the right side rear door are in place.
20200616_204541.jpg

Now on to the other side.

Here are the side panels that go behind the front side door.
20200617_194820.jpg

The side panels are in place.
20200617_204018.jpg

This is the box that goes on the top panel. I have raised the side panel on the box.

The box is assembled.

The box is in place.
20200617_205540.jpg

20200617_205559.jpg

I have attached the wedge part next to the box and attached the box on the bottom plate.
20200617_220354.jpg

20200617_220402.jpg

Here are the parts for the front of the roof.
To be honest, I was a bit concerned if I would be able to assemble these parts.
20200617_224753.jpg

The parts are in place.
20200617_225011.jpg

The main command cabin is now complete.

The laminations look good so far but there are two mistakes. The black plates are supposed to be recessed as should the trapezoids inside the stepping brackets. The brackets have to be on the same plane as the rest of the outer hull. :)

Thank you. The trapezoids (steps) are recess. I just added a layer to the bracket.
You are right. The black plates should have been recessed. Oh, well. I look at them as extra armour plating (to deflect Cylon land mines.)

Here is the ground plate. Since this model is 1:50 scale, I have decided to laminate part 32 (the bottom side of the plate) to 1mm then laminated part 31 (the top side of the plate) to the stack. Doing so, adds strength and rigidity to the component.

20200620_104827.jpg

Then I used the edge parts to "seal" the edges. The ground plate is finished.

The main part of the drive box.
20200621_194955.jpg

The drive motor. I did raise both the center and outer strips (and recessed the circles in the center strip).
20200621_202337.jpg

All of the main components for the drive box are assembled.

So, here are the parts for the wheels.
I laminated the side parts of the wheels (the circles) to about 1.5 mm and rolled the outer part of the wheel.
20200625_091553.jpg

The side circles slide inside of the wheel tube. The first wheel is assembled.
20200625_091623.jpg

The first five regular wheels and the "drive" wheel are assembled.
20200625_162808.jpg

All six wheels are attached to the right side.
20200625_163506.jpg

20200625_163518.jpg

The wheels for the left side are attached.

Here are the main parts for the tracks (the top parts).
20200626_090526.jpg

I cut out all of the black squares (that are actually holes).
20200626_091408.jpg

I painted the back of the tracks black. Yes, I got a bit sloppy. However, once I put the blades on, the paint should not be that visible).
20200626_114802.jpg

The long strips are what will be on the inside of the tracks, as well as hold the two halves of the tracks together.
20200626_121648.jpg

The one side of the tracks are assembled. This is the inside of the tracks.
20200626_123306.jpg

The outside of the tracks.
20200626_123316.jpg

The tracks are wrapped around the wheels.
20200626_175857.jpg

The other set of tracks are wrapped.
20200626_233207.jpg

On to the blades.

So, when I first detailed out this model (several years back), I attempted to make "wheel guides" for the track. However, the ones that I made were very labor intensive (and a major pain in the arse). So, I decided to try something new.

I took pieces from the "edges" from an extra "tracks" part to make "L" brackets for the wheel guides.
20200629_102122.jpg

Here are the "L" brackets.
20200629_102339.jpg

20200629_102424.jpg

The "L" brackets are applied.

As you can see, I did not attach the gun barrels and other components to the mount before attaching it to the gunners station. I will add it later.

Here is the main parts for the gun turret (The barrels and mount).
I know that you cannot see it, but I cut the glue tabs off the end pieces and laminated the back piece to 0.5 mm and the front piece to 1.0 mm. Doing this gives the skin something more to hold onto and it will secure the barrels.
20200704_170826.jpg

The barrels are secured in the mount.
20200704_171826.jpg

I added the flash suppressors to the barrels.
20200704_184039.jpg

Here is the aiming sensor. I decided to have a little fun with the it and laminated the sides and the three orange emitters.
20200704_191123.jpg

The aiming sensor is in place.
20200704_200318.jpg

The bottom counter piece is in place.
20200704_200327.jpg

This is the control module. I recessed the screen, raised the control buttons and the dark grey rectangles on top.
20200704_202127.jpg

20200704_202140.jpg

The barrels and control module are in place.
20200704_202833.jpg

The turret is able to move up and down now.
20200704_202856.jpg

On to the rack.
