I have removed the lettering and numbers on Atlas, Athearn Bachmann and Rivarossi, but I've never attempted it on a BLI steam engine before. Can anyone out there tell me the best way go about it please? Thank

Can't help with the BLI lettering, but as far as the post - we forgive you
. You can always click the "edit" button in the lower right corner of your message to correct spelling, grammar, etc. You can even add or remove photo attachments.

There's a product called, "Joe's Model Trains- paint and decal remover"
It's a slow acting paint stripper, that usually needs several applications, and removals to completely strip lettering. It doesn't remove the base color!( at least not in the lettering removal process, if you leave it on long enough it will soften and remove base color). I've used it, removed black lettering from Athearn reefers, and am very satisfied with the results.
