Bentley 4.5L Blower in 1-20 scale

Here are the Photos. All the paints I had are so old they have dried out. I quit making plastic models when I discovered paper models.
So many more, and of different subjects then plastic offers.

I'm building this one non-modified. I also bought the Rolls, Mercedes-Benz 7.1L SSK , and FORD T type Speedster last night
The Ford Speedster is a 2for..... there is a red AND a Light green one in the same file.

The metallic effects on this little guy are painted with Vallejo Chain mail silver, The Army Painter Dwarven Bronze, Vallejo Steel, and TAP Kirin Gold

Coming along nicely!

The thing I like about paper models is that you can get as detailed as you want at pretty much any scale you want. And they are much, much cheaper to make. You can find loads of paper and card for next to nothing!

I build in whatever medium a kit is available. right now, my printer is kyboshed and any spare monies are being saved for my planed upcoming cross country road trip (Ga to Ca so my wife can see the new grandbaby in March). I have several plastic kits in my stash, and a bunch of Dungeons & Dragons mini's to paint. My AV Vallejo, and The Army Painter acrylics seem to last a good ling time as long as they are properly sealed (I have Vallejo bottles that are over 7 years old and still good).

Gotta drive, I can't afford to fly out. We were able to go to thier wedding only because my daughter-in-law's dad paid for "cheap seats", but even "cheap seats" are more than I can afford on SSD. I figure 5 or 6 days driving, camp out instead of hotels, see the sights, then stay in Ca for a couple weeks, then drive back home, same as going, camp instead of hotels, make as much food as possible instead of eating out, and maybe pull the whole trip off for less than "cheap seats" for one person.

I had to use a brass braising rod for the axles. It was the closest to the 2mm Dia. "wire" I had.

I like the brass rod trick, but right now I am out... need to get by my LHS and see if the have the metal "Grab Bag" A bunch of odds and ends metal sheet, tube, rod, and wire, all in one bag for a cheap price.

Last update before surgery: Found a few flaws. The author made 2 of only 1 side on each of the following parts.

what I have done so far. I do not like the way the radiator is put together. there should be more curves instead of all the sharp lines.
I do understand why they did that.... but I still think it looks awful.
