Bc 304 usaf daedalus

So i made what i would call a rather detailed 302

unfortunately their could be a problem with assembly. Well on to the next version. any ideas from you micro builders would be helpful.
 
Well, I don't do a crazy amount of small stuff, but at that size, you could just say goodbye to tabs. Rather than making the body like that, try layering pieces for the detail.
 
Well this was sent to me for a test build and I must say its damn good. Not done yet but take a look

I believe that in fact, you are becoming the source for "How to do this". I would have suggested laminating upwards to get the desired effect, and maybe that might still work, but after looking at the F-302, you need help from no one. This is looking better and better!!:thumb:

Whoever sent you this, well, my hats off to them!

that is a 1/64 Honda Civic SI
So a fantastic model, not a fantastic build but i did figure out a hole mess of things i did wrong. As I am planing to have 12 of these i can safely say practice will make perfect. With the next one i build I will do a step by step build in a new thread for anyone interested. good lord the fiddly bits are tiny but so worth the frustration.
FYI, DO NOT build tiny if you do not have a big space to work in and a table you can scoot right up to. it is infuriating to try to find the peace when it hits the floor.
Not ready to release the designers name, not sure if he's ready with the build instructions. Hope he's ready soon tho he deserves the recognition for a job well done.

well im back after a computer melt down(literally overhead and melted the CPU) but the hard drive was fine and i just recovered everything. so ill be back at this in a few days(i hope).
Chilihead-Do, i hope to finish soon but i am by no means rushing. As i go i am constantly going back to previous sections with a new idea i have. so its a process. but always progress.
 
This is a fantastic ship that I'll be waiting for with much enthusiasm. Ive built jaybats daedalus a while ago and was happy with that adventure so this will be amazing. When you're finished what are the chances of getting one rescaled to 1:350 scale

Rescaling shouldn't be a problem. 1:350 is about half. i was shooting for about 1:160 (n scale) but as there was never decided upon dimensions its all my best guesses really. i really just took a photo of man by 302, then photo of 302 by hanger door and hanger vs hanger pod and so on and so on. so i dont want any yelling later when someones designs Atlantis and the Daedalus doesn't nestle in nicely next to one of the city arms.:mrgreen:
 
now that thunder child announced his 302 i can safely say he is the designer please check out his other scaled work here. just an amazing designer.
