So after my attempt at Ninjatoes's Enterprise-D (https://www.zealot.com/threads/uss-enterprise-ncc-1701-d-by-ninjatoes.182499/), I decided to work on a more angular and straight tabbed model.
My wife and I love Stargate SG-1, so I went searching for models of the ships. Her favourite is Prometheus & mine are the Daedalus-class. I found Jaybats designs and decided to tackle it but there were some issues.
I had problems with the lack of of tabs for attaching parts together. Yes there are tabs for folding the pieces from 2D to 3D. I had to get creative.

I made L-brackets to act as tabs to attached the nacelles (above) to the main body. But this was after the folding gluing.
With the Engine Section Bottom I cut out tabs so I could attach it to the top engine/hull section.

After all of the this the final model came out better than i had hope and made now want to tackle more complex builds but also made me think about what if I want to start designing my own models.
