Now for the rails and the back piece.

Here are the rails and spacer.




The rails and spacer are attached.


Starting with the lower back piece


Here is the upper back piece.


Both pieces are attached.




The greebling is attached.




The back pieces are attached to the rail system.


Here are the greebles for the back of the main body of the rail


The greebles are attached.




Here are the parts for the rail Plug.
( *NOTE* This plug is used to make certain that the Viper sits on the rail properly, if you are not going to have the Viper on the launch catapult.)


The plug is assembled.


The plug is in place to check for fit.
(*NOTE* Do not glue the plug to the rail base or the Viper.)


Now onto the greebling on the sides of the rail base.

Here are the parts for the greebling panel/tiles. There are enough parts to make 10 panels/tiles per page. So make certain that you print this page twice, so that you have enough panels/tiles for both sides (10 per side).


Starting the assembly of the 20 panels/tiles.






















The first panel/tile (of 20) is complete.


The first 10 are complete.


All 20 are complete!

Now to attach the panels/tiles.


The first side is complete.


The other side is complete.


Now to assemble everything.


The launch rail is attached.


Here is the front wall (the entrance to the launch tube).


The side wall is attached (I pushed the lift up to the top, to make it easier to work with).


The back wall is attached.


The launch stall is now complete.


The viper is ready to launch!


Here it is on the shelf.


Next will be the platform ladder (and a few extra surprises).

Here is the Maintenance Platform Ladder. This is a very simple project.

Here are the parts.


Starting with the base and the struts.


I added the steps.


I attached the platform.




Attached the main support beam.




I attached the hand-rail and pull-handle.
(*NOTE* Both are optional.)




Attached the wheels.




Here is the Maintenance Platform Ladder in place for the pilots to get in (or out) of the Viper (or for crew to perform maintenance).


The Maintenance Platform Ladder can be used if the Viper is sitting on its landing gear as well.

This a trolley cart (in 1:48 scale) for moving various containers around the hangar as needed.

Here is the template for the trolley. As you can see there are eight (8) trollies on a single page. So you can either build all eight or you can do what I did and have a little bit of (psychotic) fun and greeble one (or more) out.


Here are all of the parts for a single trolley cart


I cut the parts out and folded the middle piece of the "platform" of the trolley. I laminated the handle and raised the thicker parts (that are exposed) of the handle assembly and the hand-holds as well. I also laminated the wheels and the mounts for the wheels.


I started forming the platform. Make certain that you have the direction of the wheel mounts on the bottom plate are in the same direction as the middle plate that holds the handle assembly.




I attached the handle assembly to the middle and bottom plate.


The top plate is attached.


The wheels are attached.


The handle assembly is bent upward. The trolley is now finished.

Here is another accessory to add to the hangar diorama. Here is a rack for large barrels like Tylium barrels).

Here is the template sheet (there are ten(10) per sheet).


There are two (2) parts to the rack (an inside and outside).


I chose to cut the black areas out (This is optional)


On the inside of the parts, I marked them with an "O" (outside) and an "I" (inside) so that assembly will be easier.


Starting the assembly.


The rack is finished.


The rack fits nicely in the diorama (I will add barrels later).
