Hello again, I'm gonna try and build this kit that I picked up at the Hobby Lobby in Chula Vista today.


I also had to pick up some basic tools

Small cutting mat, rulers, hobby knife, glue, and a marker.

I'm gonna try to download some simple paper models too, and get them printed at Office Depot.

Yea, those would be cool, but they aren't imported to the US...

Bandai has some funny import and distribution rules for the US.

Cheap LED desk lamp acquired, but it has a built in "Lifetime LED, so no option for "Daylight".

So... What's in the box?
Bandai packs 'em tight.
4 bags of sprues, with 1 included press on stickers, and a fold out instruction sheet.

The instruction sheet is full color on 1 side, with artwork and pics of the finished kit, and ordinance chart and sticker placement.


and black and white assembly instructions.




Now to get the bags opened up and dig in....

I know right... How many months since my last build thread...

Construction stars with the body core.


Trying not to over tax my laptop, so I'm doing all my image editing in the viewer built into my Note 20 Ultra, then transferring the images to my laptop via Bluetooth.
I'm reducing the original images down to 1600 by 1200 pixels, but not playing with any other correction yet.

I'm using the Pigma Micron 005 marker to call out the panel lines and details on the kit.

This pic I used the viewer to cut the fiels down, and not show the mess around the part.

Next step is the thruster pack...

I forgot to get pictures of the thruster pack build, but here are the pics of the chest finished.
The thruster pack and power hoses are installed.

Next will be the Head unit.

Next step is the head of the robot.
First the "eye" is attached to the lower head half, and the power hose is trapped by the outer "mouth" piece.


The "eye" itself is a sticker on the grey piece, the "eye" piece can be manually swiveled to the left or right.

Then the upper head half, with the fin is attached to the lower half, trapping the back of the power hose.


Again the Pigma Micron 005 marker was used to detail the parts.

And I'll end todays build session with a beauty shot of the head and chest assembled.


Tomorrow I'll start on the waist.

Some of this models stickers will be better applied befor assembly, so I added the stickers to the head, and chest.

Now for the waist section. Each section of the waist skirt armor is articulated, Left and right sides and both of the front flaps.

Waist center section articulation parts installed.

And trapped by the back skirt piece.


Sticker added to back skirt.
