Thanks for the kind words guys. I have been having loads of fun with this.

Kevin glad you like the ore car. I am going to change a couple of things, make a couple more for practice. If you are serious, once I get the plan perfected I would gladly make a couple for you.

Still though, I am not satisfied with the design yet. I need to work on the underframe/bolster/end beam design before I build my next one.

Practice makes perfect. But you are already pretty close. The DMIR made changes to several ore cars, perhaps you could do it to some of mine someday. I need more ore cars though first.

Yesterday I looked on railcarphotos.com and saw 2 DMIR ore/ballast cars. Looked neat, with extended sides and ballast hopper doors underneath. Looks like another project for me to try.:thumb:
