Well, here's a strange little project I started the other night...I think it stems more from a lack ofsleep than any creative process...
I was puttering around at the workbench the other night, & I had the chasis for aLL N scale FA-2...It wasmissing couplers, & I was just sitting there wondering if there was anything I could do with it, & then I got to looking at this old cheapo HO caboose...
Next thing I knew, I had chopped up the caboose, removing the roof, end doors, & cupola, shortening it from 34' to 24, & narrowing it from 9' to 7'...(HO scale)
I added some styrene to the N scale chasis to widen it to 7' (HO), & now (I think) I have the beginings of a boxcab in HOn30...
I cut some end doors off another old HO caboose, to serve as doors for the oxcab...as you can see, I also botched one of the walls, when I was removing the roof, so I'm going to have to hide that somehow...
For now, I've dubbed it the "Frankencab"!
We'll see where this takes us...?
