I recently made a digital illustration with a paper-theme for the quote by Franklin D. Roosevelt for a work project. But since I love paper and the layered effect only works when done with real paper, I decided to bring the illustration to life.

So I printed everything on colored paper and started building:

I have everything ready to upload to the ressource section, I just need to sort everything and put numbers on the parts.

I LOVE it!! I have spent many years sailing. I used to sail a 10 meter Pearson Sloop. I even took her out by myself a few time, (something I'm not sure I'd recommend). I got caught in a nasty squall once, almost broached her. I had a 27 year old 16 foot Whitbread Trainer, made with Sitka Spruce Mast, Spars, brightwork and benching. It was Gaff rigged with a Jib that needed tending. She could sail very closed winded. Your 3 dimensional sculpture evokes many memories. It's wonderful!! :)
