A Little ‘Dab of Snow on the Little River RR

Well we got “our snow storm” for the winter this weekend. And while not as spectacular as some it was a chance to showcase outdoors railroading on the Little River RR in the back yard here in Clarksville Tennessee.

Motor Car #1 sets out to see the sights in the modeled mountains of Eastern Tennessee.

The logging crew is fast asleep in their skid shacks by the tracks as #1 chugs past Tremont camp.

Wish those guys in the motor car would dress a little more appropriately for the weather.

That looks pretty nice with the dusting of snow. Maybe it's just me, but I think the 110 would look even better riding the rails in the snow scene.

Thanks for the nice note.
Unfortunately #110 is in the rehab (junk) box. It seems while I was learning programing of radio control the lokie took a leap off the end of the Nelson's Gap construction site at full throttle and took a dive in to the Little River Gorge. Much like the prototype this resulted in considerable damage and the lokie was scrapped for parts.

I really want to get a newer "annie" type of the Bachmann Big Hauler with metal gears etc. for the next incantation of #110. The older style I was using with plastic gearing had multiple stripped and cracked gears that required constant fiddling and scrounging.

Yes, please come by and see the gradually enlarging Little River layout and note that your well made WRRR Box car survived the crash and is well employed as battery car for #1.

I am heading to Haiti for 2 weeks for some medical team work, but when I get back please come by.
