1/24 Kenworth W900 & scratch built drop deck trailer

Well ladies and Gents, I was begged to post this build so I guess I will. This is my build of a custom 1/24 Kenworth W900 & scratch built drop deck trailer with a Rolls Royce Trent 800. Sorry to say but most of the truck is pl****c but I did do some custom paper parts for it. Texas bumper, sun visor, a/c unit, wind deflector, hood vents, exhaust pipes, side tool box, back tool box, and all the rear frame are all made of paper.

As for the trailer, it is all made of paper except for the tires. The Rolls Royce Trent 800 and cradle is also all of paper. The Trent 800 was designed by a friend and I added all the little detail.

Wow, fantastic!! All the way around. The engine is completely set off by your detailing, and it looks like child's play compared to the cradle holding it! That engine is "yours" by the way, after seeing what you have done with it, you have rightfully made it your own !!

Your truck looks professional grade by the way. I personally don't know anyone who can build something that nice in plastic. I used to make good military dioramas, and many spent their days in hobby shops, but they could be made sloppy. There's nothing sloppy about that rig!

Thank you Zathros, I had fun building it. I did fabricate allot of the stuff on the truck as well. Here is a picture of what it is suppose to look like.

Take it from a former truck driver, who spent many years is a truck, that Rig is AWESOME. :thumb::yep::goldcup: And it doesn't matter what it is made out of. Personally I think the fact that you cant tell it's a hybrid by looking at it makes it that much more special and is a testament to your talent.

One day I have plans to make a paper version of the Freightliner a drove for all the years. I put in 1,000,000 accident free miles before I was forced to retire and believe me I wish I had a sleeper unit that big. You could fit an entire apartment in the one you built. :mrgreen:

Thank you Rick. I am an ex-truck driver as well with over a million accident free miles under my belt as well. I owned a Pete 379 but have also drove freight shakers and kitty whoppers. I do miss the road. Can't do it now because of spine and nerve damage so I just build the models of them.

I'm a truck driver and I drive that kind of heavy trucks. Your truck is very inspiring to all truck driver especially to me. I hope all trucks are also awesome like your rig. Thanks for posting this.

Thank you for the kind words. I drove for 15 years and always dreamed of owning a large car like this but never did, now I just build the models and still wish and dream.
