I have never seen it before, apart from one or two clips (i remember the toaster but i'm sure there's one or two more). It looks like i'd enjoy it but it was never accesible back then.

The Dresden Files was very roughly based on the book series. The books are better (and so many to be yet written) but the series is charming and great.
That cannon is awesome! Remove the chapter markings (or replace them with generic-looking logos or designations) and you could use it in any sci-fi-ish setting without any problem, it doesn't look too grimdark despite fitting right in on 40K

The author has a contact email address on the main page. In my experience catalan people are overjoyed when foreigners like to learn about catalan culture, so he'll probably do all he can to help you on this. I also bet the problem is the accent.
