    Rules and Policies - "Necroposting"

vBulletin does have a way to rate posts - it's called "reputation". It adds a little "scales of justice" icon to the post's header and allows a +1 or -1 to reputation, which the poster accumulates. It works well, and the reputation entries can only be seen by the poster himself (although I'm not...

    Rules and Policies - "Necroposting"

Fair enough then, thanks for allowing me to voice my opinion. If I can be allowed one last comment - I simply think that there could and should be more scope for people to express their thanks than being more or less restricted to "if you build it they will approve" or creating a thread just...

    Rules and Policies - "Necroposting"

I'm starting a topic that may come across as slightly "wanna change the world" here, and if that's how it's taken then I apologise. The topic of resurrecting old threads on a forum is one that I have been familiar with on many forums, and it's always a loaded question. I was given the choice to...

    Free 45 cal. Pistol Model

OK, I'll start a new thread, as it may be something that others may want to comment on. Thanks for your patience and objectivity. :)

    Free 45 cal. Pistol Model

It's an interesting issue, though - what actual benefit does so-called "thanks" posts provide? The "necropost" in this case provided a "thanks" to both/either the original poster or the creator of this model, which would provide both/either of them the knowledge that their model was still being...

    Free 45 cal. Pistol Model

Can I just please interject a concept here. Apologies if it's controversial. "Necroposting" has highlighted to me two very nice models I would otherwise have missed out on. There are two options on a forum - either start a new thread on something (which means lots of threads on the same thing...

    UHU02 UFO Interceptor

That's some amazing detail and a lovely model. What software does he use for design? It looks like it creates some accurate parts without need for scaling or testing in order for the builds to be so accurate on first attempt.

Modular Hex Game Elements 1:1000 Scale (WIP / Release)

Seconded - that is one amazing set. Well done. It's stunning that you're giving it away for free. I would quite happily lay down coinage for these sets.

It may not have its own zip code, but it might generate its own gravity field when it's finished...

    Warhammer 40K

Ah, I see. They're on a file sharing site. I can't access file sharing sites from work and I don't tend to get on the internet much at home any more, so that explains why I didn't know where they were (and answers my own question about why I haven't downloaded these yet...). Still, very very...
