Ships' Gun Barrels: Roll Your Own?

I like rolling my own to a degree. US 5" and above are easily "do-able" I find the preturned brass barrels by GPM etc are the best for 40mm Bofors and below, especially the 25mm Japanese tubes they make. I usually build my ships in 1-250 scale and use the 1/200 brass tubes with no real...

    [New Models] - WAK 7-8/07 "T-20/ZIS-3" Quest 1/07 "Ta-183"

When this was released as a download kit it had a cockpit, landing gear wells and was modestly detailed, along the level of Marek's stukas

    Fuso 1:430

Excellant building. What type of cardstock did you use? did you have to use thinner paper for the smallest bit, bollards etc? Once again excellant build!

    Answer - Nakajima Type KO3

I can only hope the fit is better than some of the ones Goldenbear had to tackle. This applies to the Hurricane also. The kits are very optimistically detailed but have some Major structural issues, once again see Goldenbears assessment/build of some of these kits!

1:200 Fuso and Nagato models...are they realistic

You might consider the digital navy Fuso in 1/250 downloadable kit very realistic, tried and true fitting. See Barrys posting/build of this gem on the site, or the sister sites!

    JSC's Shimakaze-The Hard way

Mike, the railings were photo-etched. These were bought long before lazer etched card was available here! I have a bunch of rails waitin' for ships. 'Ski, the kit had a lot of extra details added to bring her up to 1/250 scale standards, but the basic kit is still pretty good. Barry, this...
