DeHavilland DH89 Dragon Rapide by Schreiber Bogen build thread

Hello all. Advancing to lower wing. The designer proposed here to use two parts, n4 42 and 47, to be mounted on the lower concave part of the formers this creating a base to which the bottom part of the wing will be attached. All the "ribs" protrusions will be seen on the base, potentially not...

Hello all A small update. I began with the lower wing's internal structure. There are two longitude spars, three formers on each side. Nothing special, BUT... The upper side of the wing is convex as usual. The lower part is double curvature, concave in the middle and convex on the front. The...

Thank you all. Zathros, please note that this model quite large. We're talking about more than 60 cm wingspan (about 2 feet). It means that you'll have to devise a way to reinforce the rear structure significantly.

Hello everybody. And so we begin our jorney... The model is 1:24 scale, some parts (wings and tail) are metallized The model is designed as skeleton with wrappings. I don't really like this type of construction so it's going to be a challenge for me The model comes with three cardboard pages...

Snake, is this a newer type of the cutter, with ratchet top handle? I have the older type, with thinner non-ratchet handle. It is quite usable but my fingers get tired after 5-6 pieces. How is the type you're using, in terms of comfortably of use?

To summarize this journey The model is not bad at all. There are some places where need to be careful.i wouldn't advise this model to beginner, medium plus skills are required. What I didn't like is a simplified front grill and bad fit between front door, the wings and the part below the...

AC-30(130)-65A firetruck by NovaModel build log.

Hello all This is the last update on this build. I made the license plate and the side mirrors. I didn't paint the edges of the license plate deliberately. Side mirrors' reflective side is covered with 3x8 mm piece of household aluminum foil. The rods are made from thinnest solder I had, I...
