Zathros I know what you're talking about. As a truly senior citizen retired for12 years now, my pension and social security doesn't let me afford the new DCC trains. I am glad my old trains are still running.

Oldies but Goodies. The Old Stuff.

A Baby Ruth Metal reefer I have had for 3 weeks now. It is in good condition for an early 1950 kit car by Mantua. I have other reefers from this time period by the builder. This is one of the best. frank

I have been stuck with my 74+ years of mental block hold me from moving on with my layout. The yard tho functional with switch ladders on both ends of the yard can not store many cars. Two of the yard tracks are so short they are close to useless. I removed four of the switches from the left...

A traffic jam blocks rail traffic at a Mine Hill crossing. Is that the trump Mobil stopping the Fire engine and the ambiance as well as 2 freight trains?

Oldies but Goodies. The Old Stuff.

Mantua released another E2. This was E2 class #460 I have only seen it in the 1996 catalog. This is a noted loco assigned to a special train from Washington to New York. It was assigned to wait for the delivery of an unprocessed film of a newsreel taken at the Paris landing field of the landing...

I hope I don't get boos for this next one. Mantua in 1990, maybe,(the date not the product) brought out 4-4-2 locomotives again. One was a midwestern road I think, it is seen in the Mantua catalogs in HOseeker. Another was the Pennsy E2 class 4-4-2 #7002. It is the Pennsy speeder that on June 11...

Being 74 95% of my trains are oldies. In the last 4 years, I have been pursuing HObbyline trains more than anything else. The last thing I have ordered on eBay is, cast metal bodies for a little modeled EMC FT A and B diesel locomotives. It is so early a design that it has no box-shaped roof...

Well here I am 6 months later and out side of painting and lettering a B&O Royal Blue set as HObbyline did theirs with only the road name above the windows. I used only Hobbyline day coaches, 4 of them and 1 combine. I acquired one original HObbyline B&O FA-1 so I know now how they are painted...
