Wow, pretty cool...due to their size I would have expected them to have a longer serviceable life span...but maybe the size only contributed to their demise. Simply too much upkeep on a loco that size, especially if smaller ones can out perfrom her. Still a beautiful loco, and one I would like...

I agree with Tyson, I think I would use the extension for some switching, but that is just me. Other than that, I like it and it looks like it would be fun.

Welcome I came from other forums where there was a lot of arguing and bickering before 'The-Guage' and can attest that you won't see that here (unless it is from your friends, but they never agree with you anyway...of course, we all know more than our friends know, so what does it matter, right?).

I will agree with Bill, I am in the same boat as plbab as I don't have the space for a permanent layout. I have found that diaramas can be just as fun, and they are quite a learning experience...a lot of things to learn that will save you time and headaches when you get to the real layout.

Glad you enjoyed the site. Some people like this gentleman, and others I know from here and Trainboard (such as Shamus) really do have a great talent for this stuff. It is a lot of fun to look at what they can do...
