    Alan, thank you. I soldered the joints with a 40W iron. The joints are butt. I use bulk heads to strengthen the tank. The cars were my first and last brass efforts. Acid flux makes the solder flow like water. Bobby

    Thanks for the welcome silver oxide and your kind words. No PVC, I splice bodies together and sometimes wrap them to get the correct diameter. The two brass cars were done with sheet brass wrapped around a dowel and soldered. Bobby
