hey its you layout if you cant use it and have fun with it anymore start a new one thats what this hobby is about. we all thank you for your reshurch but nun of us want youto get hurt going under your layout and i think people would understand why you want to do the rebuld. :thumb:
so what you are saying is only put roadbed under the main line and were the risers are other than that just glue right to the foam with out roadbed and balist? how do i handle the lip going from nonroadbed to roadbed and back this wont derail a train ?
ok i got all my bench work done this weekend for my HO layout and all i can say wow its bigger than i thought .its 11' by 11' overall mesurements with a 5'hole in the centerand the bench work is 3feet wide. i will post pics in the gauge party #5 when i can probly next weekend

jetrock thanks your method may work better for my contaner yard idea as i will have a wider space to cover and more than one track to cover plaster would be tuff to even out and make it look good

thanks for your help guys:thumb: as far as pooring plaster over my track its going to be a yard so i dont think i will run any motive power over that part of it just my grunderson contaner car sets so i will use old brass track that i have laying around and not the good stuff
do you modelers have any good tricks on how to bury track and still beable to use it. in part of my yard i am making a intermodel yard for contaner trains and trucks and i want to run the track under the truck loading lot .kinda like a at grad crossing but i will make it cover the span of to or...
the rail grinder just went by my house i look forword to this time of year when there is snow they run the grinder if you have never seen this its a sight to see if you have ya know what i am talking about.nothin like lots of noise and sparks to make my day:thumb:
on my old layout i also had a 4% grade on it and i had no problems with the engines i have had up to 10 grunderson contaner cars full 2 trallers per car and the one engine pulled it just fine. but thanks for you input and i wll test it befor it becames perment.:thumb:
yea its a little ambitious but i got some good friends that are into model railroading also and are more than willing to help. and now that i have found the gauge hopefuly the people here will be willing to help me out with some info if and when i need it :thumb:
well i am trying to get together but this is only my 2nd layout that i am bulding to this extrem (sceanry and grades) i have tryed to do some resurch and lurn for my old layout wich was only a year and a half old.
