    Great Layout Base

Last night i went to buy the foam base for my benchwork. Funny thing is, what I bought is exactly what you have just described. Like you said very rigid, and hald the price of the pink foam I was pricing, a tad heavier though. But it turned out nice once i had it on my benchwork i like it.

    Quick Question

Okay, I have adjusted my track plan. All the switches in my staging yard are all #6's now, as well as the switches on my mainline. All the switches on my siding and spurs, for industries and such will be #4's. I have already used Xtrk Cad and re-did my plan with those switches to make sure it...

    Quick Question

Hmm well im still confused, I guess I dont understand how a railraod works in real life. What I mean is, if a #4 is still somewhat tight for a large 6 axle, and you would reccomend using #6 on the mainlines, then how do the larger 6 axles run in the yards and such? Could some one give me a...

    Quick Question

Ok, well I have a follow up question then. If I was to replace my snap switches with, mark 4's and mark 6's (so i have no problems with 6 axles, im really fond of the largers ones, AND change my track plan as mason stated to fit with the new switches) would I be able to use the electronic switch...

    Quick Question

Thank you mason, come to think of it since you mentioned they are designed to make an 18" radius, if i remember correctly a 6 axle can negotiate an 18" curve correct? May look a little less realiastic, but it can handle it. Thanks for your help.

    Quick Question

Im using "snap switches" as turnouts for my layout instead of a mark 4, and mark 6 for example. I noticed that they have a tighter curve? will 6 axle locomotives be able to handle that? This is all Atlas track, code 100. Thanks.

    Programming Problem

Tom, thats what im beginning to think. It kind of makes sense, becuase its like once the loco recieves power it goees, crazy im assuming becuase with out a decoder it has no idea what to do, after all thats the whole point of the decoder right sign1

    Programming Problem

Well kyle im fooling with it on and off as im browsing the forum and, its still doing the same thing, in the description of the loco is says "Equipped with the NMRA 8-pin plug for DCC", so i assume YES it does have a decoder installed, but as i look at the direction for assembly it says "dummy...

    Programming Problem

Cid, i saw on a previous post on another threat, and you stated that the Bachman EZ Command, will NOT program the decoder that comes installed with the loco? if thats correct can you or any one tell me if i could buy a Bachman decoder and install it into my Atlas Loco? Are they interchangable parts?

    Programming Problem

1.) It is the EZ Command 2.) No it did not move 3.) No DC controls were installed at all, or previously.

    Programming Problem

Oay so today i bought the Bachman EZ Command DCC System. I purchased an Atlas U23B Locomotive with it as well (nmra 8-pin dcc)the guy at my hobby shop said it is ready and all it needs is to be programmed. So i took it home hooked up the dcc system, and followed the instructions. The...

    Flex-Track: MP vs. Atlas

I may be able to help you out with this, at my LHS, they had flex track nailed to cork (it was only nailed at the top) if you asked for help you were allowed to go ahead and test the track twist it and such, there were a few brands 5 if i remember right. Two of which were Atlas and MP. I messed...

Im buying some pink foam tomorrow and im going to begin laying my track. I'll be sure to post pics of my progress thats made. By the way im...
