    a good anitoxidant for the rail joiners which I use is ford dielectric grease. Yes I spelled it wrong I know. But since it doubles up as brake slider grease I'm sure that the 1800 dergrees or so of heat and the ton of brake dust and road grime it has to deal with that it keeps out dirt...

    Width for HO Scale Roads?

    Can anyone tell me the width for a one lane crushed stone road, and a two lane road in inches (or metric I can convert that) in HO scale. I'd really appriciate it. Or if you would like just tell me how to do it my self and I'll never ask a question like this again. Thank you. :confused:

    I managed about 30% ground cover on a 4X8 layout I have just about completed ballasting the tracks have my custom tunnel done with an actual running train thru it! Who hoo! Switches work, track is clean and no derailments. Good weekend, I'm runnung the railroad as we speak.:)

    Well thanks, I guess after I'm done with my table, (well tracks and basic operation of it) I'll just maybe keep some for decoration, make a small oval on plywood for the tree next year, then auction off the rest, buy exactly what my layout requires.
