Come on back to the caboose and get a cup of coffee [or sweet ice tea] Part II

No layout construction progress photo today - too busy with real work. Marty has this mornings edition of the Lionelville Times ready at the corner of Brace Avenue however:

Thanks Dennis. However, this is the only available space in this house in the land of no basements. I figure we will be here at least another five years, which if I estimate correctly, will give me a couple of years to enjoy the layout after I quasi-finish it - whch I figure is going to take at...

You lost me there, I'm a plain old post war Lionel guy. Way too big for my 12x12 layout, but a very nice looking set nonetheless.

While all you guys were sleeping, I was working, but I did take time out to install these great shelves Mrs 53 made for me for my spare engines. The color scheme just rocks! There are four shelves total - two orange and two blue. Ran out of gas and I have a full day of "work work" on tap...

Nov 16, 2007 Weekly Foto Phun!

O-Scale O-K? The Lionel Helicopter car got loose and the camera crew caught some aerials around the Lionel Lines: or I was changing a light bulb and noticed the views are pretty good from up there, but definately one of the two:

you fellows are gracious and encouraging souls. I have finished the very last layer of foam on the last section - done, finito! Went down to the hobby shop and picked up a few switches and an extra cross over I anticipate needing. Found a box of track which included a full circle of o72 and...

Good morning. Two more layers of foam and I will have all of the base down. After that I have some tweaking to do on the leveling from platform to platform and we're rolling . . . Got something coming together here - just not quite sure what it is! I did not want to use a lot of switches...

(Frank stands to left of Chief and replies): Thanks Chief. Roseyville being south of Ohio, there's a better chance than Tom's gracious offer above. Hiding switches is still under construction. I have been too busy to touch the website for quite some time now. (Frank stands to right of Chief...

Tom: Thanks. Regarding the Museum, I could think of much worse ways to spend a few weeks. All that space - all those scenery opportunities. But the Ohio in winter part . . .

Good morning Gents. My you fellows sleep late. My photos of the day - adventures in track (mis)planning: Too much to go into, nor do I want to jam up the caboose, the logic behind this twisted mess is found in my layout construction thread. wall1
