    yup its Morants curve. And this photo was taken long after the canadian was diverted to CN through Jasper. I was on the last Canadian to go through here though.

    Actually its where most of the power starts. The 3 dams and generating stations with 30 minutes of this town supply most of the north eastern US power. Guess it could be the end though too:)

    This is a photo taken a month or so ago in Gillam Manitoba. The line is owned by the Hudsons Bay Railway, and the only way north from here is by train. This one is headed south to thompson.So lets see what weird things you have all spotted?

    Its was sunset as 2816 left winnipeg at 7:30 pm instead of 6pm as per the schedule. chased it till 9:30 or so when we really lost light and access to the tracks.

    Here is the wifes first attempt at rail photo's. She actually made the picture of the day with the second picture, on Trains.com CP 2816 running through oakbank manitoba and molson manitoba.
