Just wanted to say thanks to Mike(SD90) for allowing me to come visit his layout while i was in calgary this christmas. Its quite an amazing little empire:thumb:. And hopefully i can make it out sometime during an operating session. Thanks Mike Devin

Well i actually had a fairly good weekend. ripped up the existing scenery and base on the old section of the layout and got 90% of the roadbed roughed in for the 2 return loops. buy some supplies tommorow night and should have completed mainline next weekend.

Well i actually got some work done today. Had to demolish some of the old layout to make room for the new. the day begins. 1:30 pm 1:45 2:30 and im still working on it. More to follow as the night proceeds

Hopefully i will be starting to work on the roadbed today. And at some point complete the loop on the upper level. Would be nice to have a main line running. the 2 atlas rs-11's i recieved for my birthday are itching to run. Pictures to follow hopefully. Devin

Well here is a drawing of the new track plan. Bench work is already almost done and the lower loop under the town of Lee is laid and working. Upper level at Lee is in place and roadbed has been laid everywhere except the yard. Updates to follow soon.

Completed one loop of track and figured out the next loop of track. tonight is couplers on the gp-18

Didnt get a thing i wanted to get done, done. Ah well did win a new engine on ebay. for 80$ cheaper than i could find it locally.

Complete all of my layouts bench work. beyond that i dont think too much. but time will tell :thumb:

Ok little more work done on the elevators. darker shot with lights, sorry its a little blurry and one with a train.

Put up 2 sections of benchwork, did the measuring for the rest of the bench work. And i added lights to the grain elevator project. and that's it for the weekend. Tonight more bench work! :wave:

Ok well here is a really rough sketch of what it will look like. 2 sections are already up, and the rest are just waiting for some trimming to fit the new room. :wave:

as i found out today after some land bartering, NONE! i have been granted a 12' x 12' room. Now the nice part is i still have most of the layout that used to be 14'x12' so with some modifications to fit i wont need a helix of any sort:) ill post up the track plan to it later this evening.:thumb:

The spikes should be available at the LHS that you bought the track from. As for laying the track, need a little more info on what your putting down? Corner's etc....And what your laying the track on? Cork roadbed,foam, homosote etc...
