This was the train in...
Last time it came through it at least had a Maroon and grey GP30 behind it. so it wasn't as bad.
The railway police were 2 feet to our left. They were decent all day as long as you were not doing anything dumb. Like on guy standing head on trying to take a pic with the train coming right at him.
CPR 2816 2007 new pics added
Well the plan was to leave early and meet the train just across the Saskatchewan border, But we left late so we met up with the train at Tapley Manitoba. All these photo's are from my wife and the digital. My film hasn't been picked up yet. So there is still 3 rolls...
Well i know the summer months can be bad on the workbench. Makes for a great clutter catcher:cry:. So they need to be cleaned occasionally.

Well here it is sunday again....sign1
We start off our day just south of Portage Jct. on the Lettlier sub of CN.
This train is headed to Emerson Manitoba, where it crosses into the US.
Next stop is St Norbert. Sorry about the tree the train arrived faster than i anticipated.
And we arrive...
no the switch is gone on the west end of the siding. The east side has the switch still. They stick MOW equipment there when they need to get freight past it.
Well as always Sunday is Train day. And it was a busy one. Between 8am and 10 am we saw 12 trains. As well i saw 3 at around 5:30am when i got called into work.
So here is the first sighting.
Then up next we have this one.
Oh look two trains at once.
Still 2 trains.
And yet another...
I don't think that they are unsafe at all. Take into the size of most rail networks, the tonnage rolling on it etc.... They arnt more accident prone, just a ten thousand ton train derailing makes a bit more noise and draws more attention. And it gives the media something to do.
