So for my 3rd paper model I decided to tackle the ISS. AXM has an amazing model of this. Every time I put a section together I learn something new. I suspect that by the time I get closer to the end I will be doing things a lot better and more efficient. Having said that I'm not building this...

Thanks. I'm working on the ISS 1:100 scale now. I have 3 sections complete (I'm not doing it in "order" of the real ISS as I'm not wanting to move and change things from the initial assembly)

The brace is working really good. I'm finishing up my Unity model now. just takes a bit longer but not to bad. I have an appointment next Tuesday and the funny thing is it is for my shoulder and arm. Might as well add the wrist to cap off the entire arm i suppose

At 144% they are 3-4 times bigger than it should be lol. (I wasted $20 on that one) I'l try something else

Model when you have a wrist splint on? And it's on your cutting and everything hand. The sad thing is I did it by falling UP the stairs. Yep I'm getting old :v8: Oh well it's not going to stop me from starting my ISS project. It may slow me down but not stop me :thumb:

I found another source for help in making a good round large tube: pvc pipe. Very cheap. I had to sand a little bit to get the right size for the Antares rocket that I built and it worked awesome.

Yeah I found there is a difference between the Walmart stuff and the paper that I get when I go to FedEx. I use to work in the press-room at a newspaper and I know there are huge differences in the same lb paper from different vendors. Seeing as how I'm doing mostly 1:100 scale I'll be sticking...

OK I'm trying to build some ISS parts and I notice I'm suppose to build in 110lb and 90lb paper. Is there a huge difference in how it will go together if I just use 110lb for all of it? What if I can only find 80lb instead?

Anyone know where I can get my hands on the ATV (ESA'a transpot) in 1:100 scale? I found one but it looks a lot larger than 1:100 scale but I'm not sure though.

I did a fast easy model on Saturday. My first attempt at a tube. The tube turned out great. I still need to work on the cone portion but I'm still earning :)

What fun this was! Now I'm starting on the ESA Vega launch vehicle.
