Question about U-Don's Los Angeles-class submarine

When/if I do build it, I will probably shrink it to 1/200 which is a more common scale for ships, no?

Question about U-Don's Los Angeles-class submarine

I printed out one sheet at A4 and the cm and inch measurements looked about right. I told the printer to shrink to printable area.

Question about U-Don's Los Angeles-class submarine

Could it be that your printer is shrinking an A4 size design onto Letter size paper? I'm not looking at the model, but that would be my guess.

Thanks for the great models. By the way, what do you think the chances are of Direct being selected for the follow-on to the Shuttle?

    Need help find instructions

Does anyone have the instruction page for this model? It's an old one I downloaded long ago and I've lost the instructions or never downloaded them. There are some tricky folds in the legs that I'm not getting. By the way, the name of the file I have is ranaishikawae01.pdf. Thanks!

    Merry Christmas! Paper-Replika Christmas Train

Thanks Jules! I'll download a fresh copy. Hope you have a great New Year celebration. :)

    Merry Christmas! Paper-Replika Christmas Train

You're right. I printed one of them as a mirror image because both of them in the model are identical. I informed Jules about that and I believe he's fixing the model. Try downloading it again and see if it's been corrected.

    Merry Christmas! Paper-Replika Christmas Train

Yes, use any pictures you like Jules. While I built the model I had your pictures in front of me and tried to made it exactly as you designed it. I did add more presents to the train, though, because the car didn't look full. Thanks again for the kind words and for all the great models.

    Merry Christmas! Paper-Replika Christmas Train

This was such a fun model to build, and it was my first train. (Santa and the tree are not paper ...)

    Merry Christmas! Paper-Replika Christmas Train

I can't believe I got this finished in time for Christmas! I dropped everything and built this as quickly as I could - only cut off one fingertip. :thumb: Thanks again Jules. Great model! http://picasaweb.google.com/jepolch/ChristmasTrain

    An "interim Christmas present"

I'm making a model for my mother, but I won't get it finished for Christmas, so to fill the gap til I finish her real gift, I made this Canon sunflower shadowbox. It came out a lot quicker than I expected, considering all the little edges that had to be cut out! The frame is not part of the...

    Julescrafter M1A2 Abrams tank

Jules, that Bradley looks really great. I like how you made the turret rotate. I bought one.

    Julescrafter M1A2 Abrams tank

Thanks for the good words. I was very happy with the way the Abrams came out and the Bradley would look nice on the shelf next to it. Here's a picture of me shopping for a Bradley at the state fair a couple of weeks ago. :)

    Julescrafter M1A2 Abrams tank

It's been a long while since I posted pictures of a model. This one was not very difficult, but I got distracted (and read a few books) while building it, so it took just about forever to finish. It was my first (and maybe last) tank model. http://picasaweb.google.com/jepolch/AbramsM1A2#

    HELP - with printer select

yaniv, I'm very happy with the Epson Stylus 1400. It is a large format printer and so far it is working perfectly. I bought a Cisco print server and print to the Epson over the network without having it attached to a PC. Very nice.
