    Backdrops

    My layout is HO, the backdrop is 2' tall floor vynil with Walthers backdrops glued to it then glued to concrete block wall. My corner radi are 6". It sits aprox. 3" behind the track, all track is in front. Kinda hard going through the block wall or else I probably would.:eek:

    MSH, When I started modeling about 35 years ago, I did the same thing, bought wooden stick matches to use as lumber, and after all these years I still have the box I first bought. Only a few matches are missing, used them to light candels when the power would go out!!!:eek:

    msh, Try marking then then cutting them out with your modeling knife. If they are close enough to the edge you can try nibbling them out with a paper punch!:eek:

    The beaded foamboard gives off a toxic gas when cut with a hot wire tool, better use plenty of ventilation!. The other foam boards are not as bad!!:eek:

    Hey Jim, I have the Command2000 myself, like you said the price was right and it was easy to start with. From what I've heard though the grapvine is that the updated version is'nt as good as the first. If something ever happens to mine I would have to echo Mike and go with Digi-tracks!!:eek:

I have a cinder block wall that had to be covered so I purchased Walters backdrops, glued them to the flooring with spray glue then glued the flooring to the wall using tile glue made to glue tile to cement.
